Welcome to the Hills of Inverrary Community News Blog!
The Hills of Inverrary News – Your “No Spin” source for real community updates. Independent, resident-led, and unaffiliated with the board, we serve up facts on governance, maintenance, and local happenings—with a twist of satire and a cartoon hat or two. No filters. No politics. Just transparency, education, and a little irreverent fun. Disclaimer: All posts use fictional satire for comedic commentary on board behavior.
At Hills of Inverrary, we’ve been pushing for a formal forensic audit of our association’s finances. Why? Because residents deserve to know where their money’s going—and whether it’s being shoveled into potholes or quietly disappearing into the Bermuda Triangle of condo accounting.
But surprise! The board isn’t exactly rolling out the red carpet. Between cost concerns and a sudden case of “we’ll look into it,” it’s clear we may need a Plan B.
If the board won’t approve a forensic audit or we don't get the requisite number of votes during our special meeting of the membership, we’ll do what any self-respecting community of intelligent, fed-up residents would do: launch our own.
We’re forming a Resident-Led Forensic Audit Taskforce—a lean, five-member team of residents who will review association records from 2022 to present. We’ll scan, sort, and scrutinize everything from general ledgers to bank statements. And yes, we’ll be using advanced tools to help identify red flags faster than you can say “duplicate invoice.”
I’ll be serving as Project Manager and lead finance guru, and we’re looking for volunteers who meet the following criteria:
• Must be a current Hills of Inverrary resident
• Must not be a former board president or anyone reasonably suspected of past financial shenanigans
• Must agree to confidentiality protocols
• Must be ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the numbers
Bonus points if you’re a CPA or financial professional—we need your eagle eyes and spreadsheet sorcery.
Email InverraryAuditTaskforce@gmail.com or call/text me at (724) 331-2321 to express interest or learn more.
This isn’t just about numbers—it’s about reclaiming trust, restoring accountability, and proving that residents aren’t just passive dues-payers. We’re watchdogs. We’re organizers. And we’re not afraid to follow the money.
In this effort, we've created an Audit Taskforce page, to regularly update the community on our progress, and in the future publish our reports.
Stay tuned for updates, findings, and maybe a few cartoons if things get spicy.
Names of individual taskforce members will remain confidential if requested, in order to respect their privacy and protect the integrity of the review process.
